How to Handle Unsecured File Inkscape SVG

When working with external graphics sources, it's not uncommon to encounter unsecured files in various formats, including Inkscape SVG. Recently, I faced a similar issue when attempting to load an SVG file into my system. The file was supposed to be a map from Wikimedia Commons, but it refused to convert properly.

For instance, the paths must be straight lines without any Bézier curves. To achieve this, I used an Inkscape extension called 'Flatten Beziers' located under 'Extensions > Modify path.'

Furthermore, I found it essential to set the level of flatness when converting the SVG file to ensure that the output resembles the original graphic as closely as possible.
